TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – J&T Express package delivery service company launched its first air freighter cargo service with one of Indonesia’s private airlines, Trigana Water.
This service proves itself that J&T Express continues to innovate in terms of infrastructure to support and sustain its business, while aiming at increasing the efficiency of increasing package delivery, especially outside Java.
It is hoped that through this innovation, J&T Express can improve service level agreement to customer.
“Seeing the current pandemic situation, flight schedule instability is still occurring. Many planes fly cancel as well as delay due to lack of passengers and other factors. Today J&T Express launched an air freighter to increase the efficiency of air shipping along with the increasing number of packages, especially in areas outside Java, “said J&T Express Indonesia CEO Robin Lo at the launch. J&T Express revealed another reason for launching this air freighter service is to reduce delays in package delivery due to many flight schedule delays.
“Because there are many flight schedules cancel or delay, we need to make a breakthrough so that customers can receive their packages on time. Through a shared air freighter service Trigana Water, J&T Express can maximize cargo shipments up to a volume of 15 tons for one flight, “said Robin.
technical director Trigana Water Rudi Hartono who was also present at the event said that Trigana Water supports J&T Express steps to streamline air delivery.
“We welcome J&T Express’s breakthrough as a shipping service that seeks to accommodate air shipments to be more efficient without being limited by uncertain delivery schedules. In this case, we also hope to support each other and jointly answer business challenges during this pandemic, “said Rudi Hartono.
Regarding routes, currently the most air shipments are the Jakarta – Medan and Jakarta – Batam routes for cities outside Java.
In the near future, the J&T Express air freighter will also serve package delivery on the Jakarta – Medan and Jakarta – Batam – Tanjung Pinang route.
In terms of capacity, the J&T Express Air freighter can carry 80 percent to 100 percent or up to 15 tons in total load deliveries per each flight with at least two flights per day.
With the launch of this air freighter service, J&T Express hopes to accommodate customer needs for shipping larger and heavier packages, and be able to flexibly adjust flight hours according to their needs.
