To choose the name of the future school group, the municipality of Craon had decided to consult the inhabitants who had to decide between several names including Simone Veil and Yann Artus-Bertrand. 600 people participated. Ultimately, the locals opted for a name that resonates locally. A tribute to a personality who marked the life of the municipality during the Second World War. The future school group will therefore be called “Constance Lainé”, named after a resistant Mayenne who died in deportation during the Second World War.
