Health Minister reassures British: “AstraZeneca vaccine is safe” | Abroad

Hancock writes that the vaccine from the British-Swedish company has been used more than 11 million times in his country. The rate of blood clots among vaccinated people, he says, is no higher than in the general population. “I want to reassure readers of ‘The Sun’. There is no evidence that vaccines caused these blood clots,” stresses the politician in that paper.

The latter, according to Hancock, is also the view of the British regulator, the European Medicines Agency, the World Health Organization and “numerous doctors and clinical experts”. He swears in the paper that vaccination safety has always come first.

The United Kingdom has the highest death toll from the corona virus in our parts, but is now also a leader in vaccination. Hancock calls the vaccination campaign a national success story. He expects all adult Britons to have had a dose of a corona vaccine by the end of July.
