Iran calls British PM hypocrite for adding to his own nuclear bomb

TEHERAN – Government Iran stamp the Prime Minister (PM) English Boris Johnson was a “total hypocrite” for announcing he was going to increase the numbers warhead nuclear from 180 to 260. The accusation of hypocrisy was conveyed because Johnson had so far voiced concern that Tehran would develop nuclear weapons.

The statement from Iran was made by Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on Twitter on Tuesday, shortly after Johnson’s announcement was made.

“Total hypocrisy,” wrote Zarif. “Unlike Britain and its allies, Iran believes in nuclear and all WMD [senjata pemusnah massal] is barbaric and must be eradicated, “he continued, as quoted Russia Today, Wednesday (17/3/2021).

As previously reported, Johnson revealed that Britain would lift its own nuclear weapons restrictions, allowing it to store a total of 260 warheads, rather than the current limit of 180. That limit was set by the previous British government.

PM Johnson was asked about Iran’s role in the Middle East by Tory lawmakers after disclosing its policies that are part of the Integrated Security, Defense, Development and Foreign Policy Review.

“We remain deeply concerned about Iran’s influence in the region, Iran’s disruptive behavior and in particular, of course, we are concerned about the risk of Iran developing a viable nuclear weapon,” Johnson told lawmakers at the House of Commons.

He added that it would benefit the security of the broader Iranian and Middle East people if the country returned to the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
