KOMPAS.com – World Badminton Federation (BWF) officially postponed the match schedule All England 2021 which will take place at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England.
According to a BWF statement, the match schedule postponement was on All England 2021 happened because of doubts about a number of Covid-19 test results.
This situation then made the organizers have to retest the All England 2021 participants, both athletes and team officials, whose test results were in doubt.
“The Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton England confirm that a number of Covid-19 tests conducted on the teams participating in the All England 2021 are deemed ‘inconclusive’ so retests will be carried out.”

“BWF has also confirmed that a small number of positive tests have been found, and in accordance with the agreement with Public Health England, these cases will be retested. Related parties will continue to be isolated during retesting,” said a BWF statement.

Meanwhile, PBSI as the parent of Indonesian badminton also informed that indications of positive cases of Covid-19 occurred in India, Thailand and Denmark.
The organizers need to wait for the results of the PCR swab and several related athletes and coaches.
This also affects the fixtures for the All England 2021.

PBSI explained that the schedule for the All England 2021 match on Wednesday (17/3/2021) was postponed to 14.00 Birmingham time.
However, PBSI said that certainty regarding the match schedule must also wait for the results manager meeting which will be held first at 10.30 local time.
