One would say that Apple has caught all the flies over the years and tuned the materials used to perfection. We laughed at the poorly permeable antennas on the iPhone 4, the soft aluminum on the iPhone 6, which liked to bend in the pocket, aroused negative astonishment. But in Cupertino they obviously did not learn from their failures, as evidenced by several users who point out a defect the latest iPhone 12.
The new controversy this time concerns the frame. While iPhony 12 Pro a 12 Pro Max they got a frame made of polished steel, less equipped siblings iPhone 12 and 12 minis had to settle for ordinary aluminum. And it seems that the dog is buried in aluminum. Slovak colleagues from the portal SvetApple pointed out the fact that the iPhone 12 they bought in red changes the color of the frame after a few months.
Fading can be seen in the corner of the camera, while the other parts of the frame are fine. Interestingly, iPhones 11 and iPhones SE 2020 have already suffered from a similar problem, however, this case is unique in how quickly fading occurred.
Don’t miss – iPhone 12 mini is a flop. Apple plans to end production
The question is whether this is a problem of all 12 and 12 mini iPhones, or whether this case is only a unique manufacturing defect of several pieces. Either way, phones in this price range should not suffer from similar problems. Do you have the same problem with your iPhone 12 or 12 mini? Let us know in the comments.
