Drinking down, Madrid beat Atalanta

Real Madrid entertain Atalanta in the second leg of the big 16 Champions League. In the first half, Los Blancos led 1-0 due to an error by the La Dea goalkeeper.

Madrid opened a 1-0 advantage in the 34th minute. Marco Sportiello failed to communicate properly with the defender so that Luca Modric’s short ball was cut off.

The Madrid midfielder then dribbled into the penalty box, which then provided bait to Karim Benzema. When Sportiello was out of the net, Benzema scored smoothly.

Atalanta tried to get up to reply. Ruslan Malinovskiy fires a shot from distance in the 41st minute, but his shot is not yet on target. Until halftime the score 1-0 lasted for Madrid.
