Caution before the Fed on European markets

Hello! Welcome to our “Live Market” on Tuesday March 16, the ideal place not to miss the essentials of stock market news.

Asian markets are growing this morning, in the order of 0.5%, in the wake of Wall Street, where optimism about the recovery still outweighs concerns about inflation.

The Dow Jones index gained 0.53% to 32,953.46 points on Monday. The larger S & P-500 was up 0.65% to 3,968.93, a closing record. The Nasdaq Composite, for its part, advanced 139.84 points (1.05%) to 13,459.71 points.

Monetary policy hovers over the market trend, however. and investors could remain feverish until the‘announcement, Wednesday at 7 p.m., of the Federal Reserve’s decisions.

The US central bank should, of course, extend the status quo on rates, but markets are mainly waiting for its officials’ point of view on the recent rise in bond yields and the outlook for inflation.

“Investors are not in the mood to take too much risk because they factor in the possibility of higher inflation, whatever the central bank may say,” said Fawad Razaqzada, market analyst and economist at ThinkMarkets in London.
