Jakarta –
The defeat of Napoli made it AC Milan getting left behind from Inter Milan in the scudetto hunt. However, Milan was asked not to hurry up to fly the white flag.
Milan collapsed at home to Napoli at Italian League last weekend. Playing at the San Siro, Rossoneri had to admit the superiority of the visitors with a score of 0-1.
In other matches, Inter Milan won 2-1 over Torino. It was the Nerazzurri’s eighth straight win in the Italian league.
Those results put the distance between Inter and Milan on Italian League standings widened. Milan, who collected 56 points in second place, are now nine points behind Inter at the top.
However, a former midfielder AC Milan Demetrio Albertini asked his former club not to give up pursuing the scudetto. With 11 matches remaining, according to Albertini, anything can still happen.
“It is necessary to look ahead, because if you look back, fear can enter,” Albertini told The Gazzetta dello Sport.
“You have to keep dreaming of the title for two reasons. First, so that you don’t regret it at the end, it’s possible that Inter might stumble in a few matches, I see they didn’t dominate the opponent against Atalanta and Torino.
“If they slow down a bit, it will be worse if Milan don’t try. Second, because if you have high targets, you have more motivation, you know you are playing for the most important targets,” said Albertini.
AC Milan then will travel to Fiorentina headquarters in the Italian League continued, Sunday (21/3/2021) evening WIB. Meanwhile Inter Milan will host Sassuolo.
