It is possible to say a little without hesitation that Brno is a body and a soul. This was 100% true of Eva Vidlařová from the Goose on a String Theater. The element with organizational skills has forever entered the history of the legendary theater scene. And not only the role of Truda in the 1975 performance of Pezza versus Čorba.
“The original actress, an unmistakable character, a peculiar theatrical secretary, a strong and courageous woman, who was always and fundamentally called Truda, became the soul of the ensemble and remained with it until 1992, when she began to be betrayed by health,” her death on social networks. Paradoxically, she exhaled for the last time on Monday, March 15, on the day when the “strings” commemorated the 53rd anniversary of the founding of the theater ensemble.
Her poor health was brought to life by a 16-day hunger strike in the 1980s, which she held for the release of political prisoners. The fatigue syndrome then did not allow her to give her acting talent full space, so she only starred in smaller roles in the films Heritage or Kurvahošigutntag (1992) and in the film Tank Battalion (1991). Before retiring (in 1992), she also used her organizational skills as a theater secretary.
“For me, Truda was a man who always held me back in times of intolerance of me in this country. I respected her very much for that! I was very happy to be able to play in Bolek’s game Seance together,” she wrote goodbye Eva Vidlařová, actress Chantal Poullain, who worked in the same theater.
“Truda is an integral part of the history of the Strings and we must never forget what she did for the theater and dissent! Happy flight up there and thank you for everything !!!” Bolek Polívka’s ex-wife confessed to her Facebook profile.
Eva Vidlařová was one of the key organizers in November 1989 at the Husa na Provázku Theater:
