Trojan Award has been supporting St. Anna children’s cancer research for 12 years
The prize money for the best entry of € 2,000 has been presented to St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research on behalf of the winner for 12 years. In Austria around 250 children and adolescents develop cancer every year. St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research achieves incredible things every day with very limited resources. In order to enable children with cancer to continue to have a better life, however, she needs support in the form of donations.

“Similar to the Trojan marketing campaigns, the daily work of the employees of St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research unfortunately often falls below the threshold of public awareness. The result of this immensely important work is, however, all the more effective and significant for society, which is why we want to make a small contribution to support with the Trojan Award, ”says Roman Anlanger, initiator of the Trojan Awards and course director of the Technical sales management course at the FH of the BFI Vienna.

Trojan Marketing: Big impact despite a small budget
Trojan marketing addresses customers indirectly and in unconventional ways, but all the more sustainably. In contrast to classic marketing, the focus of the discipline is not on opening up existing markets, but on creating new ones. The aim of Trojan marketing is to use “Trojan horses” in a subtle way and with little investment of resources to reach the subconscious of potential consumers in order to develop positively there. The marketing trend was shaped by Roman Anlanger and Wolfgang A. Engel, management consultants and lecturer at the BFI Vienna University of Applied Sciences. In 2008 and 2013, the two marketing experts published the specialist books “Trojan Marketing: With Unconventional Advertising for Market Success” and “Trojan Marketing II: With Unconventional Methods and Small Budgets for Success”.
