Ukrainians will be allowed to retire at any age: when the innovation starts

In Ukraine, from 2028, it will be possible to receive a pension at any age, subject to at least 40 years of experience.

This is stated in the law on “Compulsory State Pension Insurance”. Until then, the requirements for seniority will increase annually. So, in 2022, to retire at 60, you will need to have at least 29 years of experience.

To receive payment at 63 years old, you will need to have from 19 to 29 years of experience. The norm for an exit at 65 years old will remain unchanged – at least 15 years of experience. Every year, until 2027, the rate will increase by 12 months.

As a result, in 6 years only 45% of Ukrainians aged 60 will be able to receive a pension. The rest will have to work up to 63 years (40%) and 65 years (only 5%). It is also worth noting that, according to experts, the “critical” moment is considered to be the requirement for an experience of 30 years (from 2023). At this moment, the lion’s share of Ukrainians will not be able to receive payments on time.

By the way, the next indexation of pensions will be held for Ukrainians from July 1. This is due to the revision of the subsistence minimum. The minimum (by UAH 85) and maximum (UAH 850) pensions will increase.

As already wrote OBOZREVATEL, with a pension of 3.5 thousand UAH, the amount of the increase can be about 385 UAH. If the decision is postponed from March, for example, to December, Ukrainians will lose UAH 3.4 thousand.

Previously OBOZREVATEL wrote in detail about how the pension reform from the Cabinet of Ministers will look and why the situation with the payment of pensions in Ukraine will worsen every year.
