Bad news for Montpellier Hérault Rugby: the health situation is worsening.
This Monday morning, a player from the professional workforce of the MHR tested positive for Coronavirus as well as two players from the training center.
According to newspaper information The team, this Monday evening, two additional professional players tested positive as well as three Hopes.
In total, therefore, three professional players and five from the Espoir group were infected and were placed in solitary confinement until further notice.
It is inevitably a blow for the MHR which will have to respect a very strict sanitary protocol.
Thus, the Montpellier club will be able to resume training on Tuesday but only in small groups of four players, while waiting for new tests to be carried out in the coming days.
Fortunately, the Top 14 is taking a break this weekend and Montpellier still has time to identify its cluster before its next match scheduled for Saturday March 27 against Stade-Toulousain.
