Wolves vs Liverpool decorated with horror moments of Patricio’s head injury

The goalkeeper had a terrible incident Wolverhampton Wanderers Rui Patricio when fighting Liverpool. He seemed unconscious after colliding with Conor Coady.

This match was adorned with a horror incident that was experienced by Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio. This happened in the 85th minute when Mohamed Salah broke into Wolves’ goal, but was then ruled out because offside.

Patricio who tried to close Salah’s shot had to clash with Wolves captain Conor Coady who ran from behind to intercept the Egyptian player. Coady’s knees seemed to clash violently with the Portuguese goalkeeper’s head.

He immediately lay motionless in the field. The medics had to give Patricio 10 minutes of treatment.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper was then given oxygen cylinders and taken out of the field wearing a neck brace. His position was immediately replaced by John Ruddy.

Thankfully, Patricio’s condition is now slowly improving after the terrible clash with Coady. Wolves Manager, Nuno Espirito Santo said that the former Sporting CP goalkeeper was aware and was not seriously injured.

“Rui Patricio is fine. He is aware and remembers what happened. The positive thing – he’s fine,” said Nuno Espirito Santo quoted from BBC.

“We are always worried about a concussion because it is obviously very serious. It can happen in football. Fortunately, he is fine. We will be careful to manage his injury,” he added.
