Meeting with the Ambassador of China

China did not change its position on the annexation of Crimea after the NSDC announced its intention to return the Motor Sich enterprise to Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeniy Yenin held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Fan Xianrong, during which it was noted that China’s position on Crimea had not changed due to the situation with Motor Sich. Yenin announced this on Monday, March 15, on his page in Facebook.

“I held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine, during which, among other things, the issue of the recent visit of the Chinese business delegation to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was raised. , but also grossly violate the current legislation of our state. Examples were given when such visits had extremely undesirable consequences for the relevant foreign companies and their representatives, “Yenin wrote on his Facebook page.

According to Yenin, Ambassador Fan Xianrong assured of the invariability of the Chinese government’s approaches to the temporary occupation of Crimea, in particular, to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

“It was noted that the comments of individual politicians and experts regarding the alleged change in the position of the PRC government regarding Crimea in the context of the situation around Motor Sich have nothing to do with reality,” Yenin wrote.

He also noted that in the context of the situation around Motor Sich, he conveyed to the Chinese side a signal that Ukraine respected and will respect foreign investments, and will strictly adhere to its international obligations in this area.

We will remind, the head of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov commented on decision to return the Motor Sich enterprise to Ukraine.
