Bakalova will fight for the statuette with serious competition. The other nominees in the category are Glenn Close, Olivia Coleman, Amanda Seyfried and Yun Yu-jun.
The American Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences nominated the Bulgarian for her performance in “Borat 2”, where the actress plays the role of Tutar – Borat’s daughter.
Bakalova has already been nominated for a Golden Globe, a prize for the Screenwriters Guild of the United States, the American-Canadian Critics’ Association and the British Film Academy (BAFTA).

The talented actress has already been awarded by the International Academy of Press, as well as by the Australian Academy of Film and Television Arts. He also won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Role and that of London Film Critics. All the accolades are for her participation in the comedy “Borat 2”.

The culmination of “Borat 2” is the scene of Bakalova with the famous lawyer Rudy Giuliani. The Bulgarian introduces herself as a journalist and interviews the 76-year-old man in a hotel room. At the end of their conversation, Giuliani wants the address and phone number of the beautiful “journalist”. In the next scene, he lies on the bed with his hands in his pants.
