In a press release, the Menlo Park (California) group explains that it intends to offer a tool informing users of the date and place where they can be vaccinated from a link available from their ‘wall’ (newsfeed ).
Facebook indicates that it also intends to extend the functionality of its ‘Covid Information Center’, its Instagram photo-sharing platform.
Finally, the social network explains collaborating with health and government authorities to facilitate registration on the vaccination lists from the WhatsApp application.
Facebook estimates that more than three billion messages relating to the Covid epidemic have already been sent to users of its WhatsApp platform by administrations and NGOs.
