In Mexico, 11,812 Events Supposedly Attributable to Vaccination have been reported (ESAVIs) against coronavirus, of which 89 have been serious reactions, reported José Luis Alomía, director of Epidemiology of the Health Secretary.
During the Press conference, the federal official indicated that the 89 serious ESAVIs that have been presented represent less than one percent of the total, so that the majority have been mild reactions.
He explained that 70 ESAVIs presented after applying the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, 11 with AstraZeneca’s, six with Sinocac and only two with Sputnik V.
In addition, he pointed out that only 16 of the serious ESAVIs that have occurred in the country continue to be hospitalized.
For this March 14, an accumulated 4 million 339 thousand 926 applied doses have been registered, of which only 0.3 percent presented an adverse reaction.
