Jakarta – Former Deputy Chief of Police Komjen (Ret.) Syafruddin strongly denied the accusation by the Democratic Party (PD) that he was once offered to become deputy chairman of the KLB Deli Serdang camp. Syafruddin said that they never communicated with Moeldoko’s camp.
“I deny having ever been invited to join by Moeldoko,” said Syafruddin when asked for confirmation, Monday (15/3/2021).
Syafruddin also emphasized that he had never communicated with Marzuki Alie regarding politics, especially regarding the issue of a plan to join the PD in the Moeldoko camp.
“I strongly deny having been invited to join by Moeldoko and Marzuki Ali to join the leadership of the Democrat Party as a result of the KLB Deli Serdang,” he said.
Issue Syafruddin was invited to join Moeldoko’s version of PD by the Deputy of Balitbang Democrats Syahrial Nasution. Syahrial said the invitation was conveyed through Marzuki Alie. He said the KLB Deli Serdang camp was trying to recruit someone close to JK.
“The former Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen (ret) Syafruddin, was contacted by Marzuki Alie and Darmizal. They were asked to become the vice president of the KLB version of the PD. He refused,” said Syahrial Nasution.
“Until finally, Moeldoko contacted him directly, he was also rejected,” said Syahrial.
Syahrial said the information about Moeldoko contacting the former Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen (Purn) Syafruddin, was obtained directly from trusted people. Syahrial said the refusal from a figure like Komjen (Purn) Syafruddin indicated that the KLB in Deli Serdang was a coup against the Democratic Party.
“This means that this is a coup. Because the activities were carried out first. Not registered, because there is no management structure yet. The legality is not correct. Using the hand of power to influence the DPC-DPC and DPD-DPD voting rights owners,” said Syahrial.
