Children threaten to storm Roermond shopping center and intimidate customers

Yesterday afternoon, a group of children caused a lot of inconvenience in two places in Roermond. According to police, they threatened to storm a shopping center and intimidate shoppers. The names of twenty children between 10 and 14 years old have been noted and there has also been an “admonishing conversation” with their parents, the police in Roermond said.

The twenty were part of a larger group of peers, who caused a nuisance at the Retailpark Roermond shopping center and the Outlet Center, which is located on the other side of the Limburg city. It is not clear why the children wanted to storm the mall.

According to the police, parents have been made aware of the responsibility they have for the behavior of their children. “In addition, agreements have been made with the parents and their children to prevent further nuisance from being caused”, the local police reports. “If the youngsters continue to show undesirable behavior, they can be fined and in some cases arrested.”
