Samsung Galaxy S21 may suffer from supply problems

There is currently a global crisis in the supply of Qualcomm processors which, as we know, equips many devices from the most diverse brands including Samsung.

According to the news agency Reuters, Samsung started to have problems with its top of the range Galaxy S21 due to the crisis that Qualcomm is facing in relation to processors.

The problem appears not only to be affecting the current range tops of the South Korean manufacturer, but also all low and mid range devices. But the most worrying is actually the Snapdragon 888 processor that is equipping the Galaxy S21 family. It is not yet clear whether this situation will only affect the supply of that model or if production itself.

To be a reality, it is in fact a very uncomfortable situation for Samsung given that the model in question is being a sales success in the short time present in the market in relation to its predecessors.

According to some rumors, Qualcomm is giving priority to all current top-of-the-line equipment from various manufacturers. Despite the complicated situation it is experiencing, Qualcomm is confident of overcoming it and achieving its financial objectives for the second quarter of the year given the contracts it currently has with the largest manufacturers of smartphones.

Even the vice president of Xiaomi Lu Weibing, had already warned of this possible situation in the shortage of supply of processors.

Qualcomm has already defended itself through a statement made by its executive responsible, Cristiano Amon, who claims that the demand is being well above the capacity to supply processors. Most likely everything could be related to the sanctions that the United States of America is imposing on the Chinese manufacturer Huawei, which will have led many consumers to choose other brands of smartphones that use Snapdragon processors.

So it remains to wait to see what the next developments will be in the following weeks, since this problem is affecting not only Samsung but also other important brands.
