In a room fire on Bergneustädter Enneststrasse, a senior citizen was injured on Sunday around 12 noon. An electric blanket has started to burn in her apartment on the first floor, says the organizational head of the rescue service, Jan Mießner. However, the rapid intervention of the Bergneustadt fire fighting train under the direction of military leader Michael Stricker prevented the flames from spreading to the apartment.
For a long time, the woman was treated by the emergency doctor and the carbon monoxide concentration in her blood was checked with a specially requested measuring device before she could be taken to the hospital.
