Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 16,324 analyzes were carried out and 1,062 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 1,062 new cases, 586 are from Montevideo, 99 from Canelones, 68 from Rivera, 57 from Cerro Largo, 29 from Tacuarembó, 27 from Maldonado, 26 from Florida, 23 from Paysandú, 22 from Artigas, 17 from San José, 15 from Lavalleja, 15 from Río Negro, 14 from Colonia, 14 from Durazno, 14 from Salto, 13 from Rocha, 11 from Treinta y Tres, 10 from Soriano and 2 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,130,729 have been processed and 70,133 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 59,539 have already been recovered.
Today 9 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. These were 9 patients from Montevideo 47, 72, 73, 73, 76, 77, 84, 89 and 95 years old. So far, there are 698 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 9896 active cases, that is, people who are developing the disease, 117 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 3,738 correspond to health personnel. 3316 of them have already recovered, 415 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 69,074. Today 1062 new cases and a total of 70,133 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 3 cases were eliminated.
