Found the remains of Sarah (33) in a bag

Friday night, British police confirmed that they had found the remains of 33-year-old Sarah Everard in a forest area in Kent in London.

Everard was reported missing on March 3, and a large-scale search operation was launched for the woman.

The murder of Everard has received enormous attention, and took a new turn when it became known that policeman Wayne Couzens had been arrested, suspected of being behind the kidnapping and murder of the 33-year-old.

According to British media, Couzens started as a police officer in 2018.

Policeman imprisoned

The body of the 33-year-old woman was identified via her teeth after her remains were found in a bag. It emerged during a court hearing on Saturday, writes The Telegraph.

The arrested policeman was strongly influenced, and struggled to pronounce his own name and tell when he was born and where he lived.

According to The Telegraph, he looked down at the ground during large parts of the prison meeting.

The judge requested that the police officer be jailed in the first instance until Tuesday 16 March.

– Respect for Sarah

At the same time as the court hearing took place, hundreds of people gathered in the park where the 33-year-old woman was last seen, on March 3.

Among those who showed up to show their respect was Duchess Kate of Cambridge. Sources close to Buckingham Palace say according to The Telegraph that the Duchess was there for private reasons.
