According to Techcrunch Apple has now decided to shut down production of the Homepod, a smart speaker that was unveiled at WWDC in June 2017 but did not go on sale until February 2018.
Instead, Apple will focus on the Homepod Mini, a much smaller model that was launched last fall. The hope is that the lower price tag ($ 99 instead of $ 299) will lead to greater public interest.
In this context, it can be mentioned that neither Homepod nor Homepod Mini has been officially launched in Sweden, but the speakers can still be purchased via a number of retailers.

Apple will probably continue to update the software, so if you have a copy of Homepod, you can continue to use it for a while longer.
