AUSTRIA. The amendment to the fourth protective measures ordinance provides for relaxation under strict precautionary measures throughout Austria for children and young people up to the age of 18 in the field of sport and youth work. In addition, self-help groups all over Austria can meet again from March 15th. These measures are an important contribution to the well-being of young people and to mental health during the pandemic, it said in a broadcast by the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the amendment includes the controlled opening in the Vorarlberg model region, which should also start from March 15, 2021. The nightly exit regulation is extended for a further ten days. “The measures are continuously evaluated and can be adapted according to the epidemiological situation,” says the ministry.
The following regulations should apply from March 15th:
Extracurricular youth work up to the age of 18
May take place in closed rooms and outdoors. The young people are only obliged to test in closed rooms. The group size is a maximum of ten people plus up to two supervisors. A prevention concept and registration is mandatory
Sports up to 18 years:
Sports without physical contact, which may only take place outdoors, are permitted. There is no test obligation for the young people. The group size is also a maximum of ten people plus up to two trainers. A prevention concept and registration is mandatory
Meetings of self-help groups:
Can take place indoors and outdoors. FFP2 mask compulsory in closed rooms.
Refinements in the professional area
These apply from April 1st. A prevention concept is mandatory for companies with 51 or more employees.
