Tesla’s large factory in Fremont, USA, has had hundreds of corona infections after CEO Elon Musk reopened the site in May last year, despite a ban from local authorities. That reports The Washington Post Saturday.
According to the newspaper, after the reopening of the electric car factory, there were approximately 450 corona infections between May and December, out of a workforce of approximately 10,000 employees.
The factory near San Francisco, California is one of the most important locations for Tesla. The Model S, Model X and Model 3 are built there. In addition, the plant produces the majority of all of the company’s auto parts.
Musk had strongly criticized the factory’s forced closure. He even threatened to move Tesla’s Palo Alto factory and California headquarters to other US states.
