Today Boyko Borissov, Nikolay Nankov, the Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov and Richard Alibegov inspected restaurants in Kyustendil. The mayor of the town Petar Paunov was also present.
During a visit to a restaurant, the Prime Minister expressed the opinion that the turnover is probably not the same as last year. However, it was recalled that the 60 to 40 measure applied.
Richard Alibegov said: “We just wanted to work. We comply with anti-epidemic measures. The most important thing is not to come to a third closure, because it will be detrimental to our business. The business is designed not to rely on state aid. “
Borissov said: “We try to take the most liberal measures and protect people’s mental health. To come and have a coffee and leave is purely psychologically good for the people.
The Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov commented on the situation with the wards in the country: “In Gotse Delchev the situation is quite serious. There the beds are exhausted. More than 12,000 vaccines were given yesterday. We will wait for the results of the samples taken in Plovdiv to come out. We have no worries that there may be a link between the woman’s death and the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The Prime Minister was adamant that only vaccines that are approved by the EU can be given: “If now the Russian vaccine, which has submitted its documents to the EMA, is approved, we will buy from it as well. The Chinese have not yet submitted documents to the EMA. The drug market is quite regulated. ” He was adamant that once the Chinese vaccine is approved by the EMA, it will be approved by the Bulgarian Medicines Agency.
Borissov explained that Bulgaria had ordered the most vaccines from AstraZeneca because its clinical trials and approvals were the first. As an argument for buying vaccines, he pointed out their price.
Nikolay Nankov stated that over BGN 100 million, which were invested in Kyustendil, pass through the budget. He was adamant that the funds would go to renovations, street lighting, church renovations and urban infrastructure.
However, Borissov did not fail to point out the problems in Kyustendil, saying that there is a problem with drinking water. For this problem, funds will be allocated for the repair of the dam. He expressed regret that his political opponents were deliberately photographed in bars to demonstrate that the measures were not being followed.
Richard Alibegov addressed the Prime Minister with a request for flour for faster payment of compensations. Borissov replied that these payments flow through the National Revenue Agency and have already reached 20 million people.
The mayor of Kyustendil shared the problems of the city, but did not fail to note that the vaccination is going very well.
Borissov also met with border police officers, thanking them for a job well done in preventing illegal migration. He said illegal migrants were returning to Turkey and Greece.
Together with the mayor, they discussed transport corridor № 8 and the connection between Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia. Nikolay Nankov announced that the lanes on the ring road of Kyustendil are increasing.
