Faster Photoshop on MacBook Pro with M1 processor

When we tested the new MacBook Pro 13 »with Apple’s new M1 processor, we were blown off course by the performance. The little mac beat the most expensive MacBook we had tested until then.

But many of the programs it ran had to go through Apple’s Rosetta translator in order to run on the new processor. Except for a beta version of Adobe Photoshop, which we tested on the machine.

Not a finished version, many features were missing, but it was faster than running Photoshop via Rosetta.

Now you get rid of it because Adobe has finished carpentry a separate version of Photoshop for M1 processors, which Adobe says is one and a half times faster than the previous version.

At the same time, Camera Raw for Photoshop is updated with support for even more cameras, including Sony’s new a1, and ACR as it is called, has also got a feature called Super Resolution.

But it can be quadrupled upscaling a raw file, jpeg, TIFF, or PNG files, up to 500 Mp.

In a note, Adobe says that Photoshop for iPad has also been updated with support for Cloud Documents Version History, which can also be used if you are offline.
