Swedish Carolina Dybeck Happe (48) took over as CFO of the American industrial conglomerate General Electric in March 2020. She earned 23.8 million dollars in 2020, equivalent to 200 million kroner at today’s exchange rate. This despite the fact that she had not even worked in the company for ten months.
This is an increase of just over 3,300 percent from her previous salary at Assa Abloy, where she was CFO for 17 years. In 2018, she earned just under six million kroner in the company.
It writes Today’s industry.
Before Happe took over as CFO of General Electric from Jamie Miller, the company had a couple of tough years behind it.
In connection with the appointment, the company’s CEO Larry Culp commented on Happe’s expectations:
– I expect success. Success in terms of reduced debt, through the sale of assets, and improved results, so that we can move on to the next phase of the company’s history.

In the first twelve months of the position, Happe has tried to reduce the company’s debt and cut costs, in addition to mitigating the consequences of the corona crisis, writes Dagens Industri.
Since Happe took office in March, the large group has developed in a positive direction. The share has risen by just over 35 percent since the sharp fall in the stock market in February.
Happe has previously worked for the listed companies Maersk and Trelleborg, and sat on several boards, including EON and Schneider Electric.
