The strongest “Polizeiruf 110” team exceeds all expectations · KINO.de

After the memorable finale of their last mission, all eyes are on the explosive duo Buckow and König. You can find out whether it is worth switching on this time in Marek’s “Polizeiruf 110” review of the episode “Sabine”.

Which inspectors determine “Sabine” in “Polizeiruf 110”?

Inspector Sascha Buckow knows exactly where the fish roll with the thickest curl is covered, but he has been deliberately misplacing the leaflet for proper police work for 11 years now. At first, case analyst Katrin König occasionally looked for the crumpled piece of paper, but the collaboration with Rostock’s natural forces rubbed off more on her than she long wanted to admit.

For 11 years, both of them swarmed around each other in the consistently linear narrated “Polizeiruf 110”, then in the last dramatic episode, Buckow’s father had to bless the time until both were allowed to confess their love for each other for the first time. Their complex relationship has always been at the heart of the Hanseatic city, now a new chapter is being opened. Will Buckow and König work as a couple too? The answer is a resounding yes, because even after their grand finale, the chemistry between Charly Hübner and Anneke Kim Sarnau remains intact and thus unmatched in the world of German crime entertainment.

If Buckow and König were to investigate the “crime scene”, they would be in the following Video naturally represented.

What is “Polizeiruf 110” “Sabine” about?

Nobody sees Sabine. Not even the police. That is why it remains unclear for a long time who is murdering in Rostock. The service worker in a dilapidated shipyard is dependent on the grace of the job center as a so-called top-up and wants to put an end to her precarious existence. In the affect, however, she then points her weapon at someone else.

Her first murder seems like a liberation for Sabine. For a brief moment all the humiliations she endured in her young life seem to be forgotten. There are still more bullets in Sabine’s magazine, so that Buckow and König inevitably have to deal with worldly matters again in order to prevent another catastrophe.

Marek’s “Polizeiruf 110” review: A gripping crime thriller with great staff

While too much private ballast in many “crime scenes” ensures that the drop in the actual case is quickly sucked, the clocks in the Rostock delicatessen department traditionally tick differently. Of course, Buckow and König are in themselves a force that would also work outside of the “police call 110”, but they succeed again and again to coherently weave their sensitivities into the respective criminal act. This also applies to their latest mission, which is in no way inferior to its brilliant predecessor.

Luise Heyer shines as a tormented soul who decides in the affect to pay back all those who blame her for her dreary life. The fact that she remains invisible to her surroundings as a serial killer and is not even noticed by the police is a nasty move by screenwriter Florian Oeller, who only pulls his greatest ace up his sleeve shortly before the credits roll.

The latest Rostock “Polizeiruf 110” is convincing not only as a successful vehicle for the love story of Buckow and König, but also scores as a bitter thriller about the gloomy conditions in the hamster wheel called the low wage sector. “Sabine” is already a highlight of the current crime season.

The “Polizeiruf 110” episode “Sabine” will be on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 8:15 p.m. on ARD and is then available in the media library as a repetition in the stream.
