Wayne Bridge, former Chelsea player, has discovered the most unknown face of Jose Mourinho. In the United States, far from its usual seriousness and harshness, showed his most affable and human side. The coach organized a party to footballers during the preseason, at a party to which he invited Snoop Dog, a famous American rapper.
“We had a preseason in America and he threw a party. It was good for the guys. And when I say throw a party I mean Snoop Dogg was there, everyone was there“, Explained the player in an interview with The Rig Biz Podcast, in which he addressed the two extremes of the Portuguese coach.
Not many people know Mourinho like Bridge did. The coach arrived at the club in 2004, when the player had already been with the Premier League squad for a year. And they continued together until September 2007, when the coach announced he was leaving his place at the club. They managed to experience Chelsea’s most magical scene, up with six titles in three years. Plus, they’re virtually undefeated at Stamford Bridge. Only Barça managed to beat them at home. And in addition to his friendliest part, he spoke of the one we know, that of his strong character with footballers: ” But you see how he treats some players and I think sometimes he’s a little harsh“, He confessed.
The player pointed out that: “ He’s a great coach, but in cases where he’s had a bad time at Manchester United and Tottenham, he sometimes seems like a spoiled person throwing his stuffed animals out of the stroller. ” , he commented. “I think sometimes he doesn’t handle it very well. But it’s fun to watch, I love watching it, ”added the player, who hung up his boots in 2014 after a brief stint at Reading.
