American weather forecasting system deployed in Ukraine

The country has deployed the American system, since the current one has not been updated since the 70s of the last century.
GSChS will cooperate with the US company BARON – Critical Weather Intelligence in the field of hydrometeorological activities. About it informs Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on Thursday, March 11.
The hydrometeorological system of Ukraine has not been updated since the 1970s. Now in Ukraine there will appear about 13 large radars, as well as several thousand special sensors, which “will allow the use of early, probable and fast forecasts of dangerous weather and natural phenomena.”
The system will also be used in military technology. After the approval of the project at the level of the Ukrainian parliament, this system will be fully deployed in two or three years.
In addition, hydrometeorological posts, sea and air, will be modernized.
In turn, Sergey Brailyan, manager of BARON for global business development in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, said that this system is “the basis of automated command and control systems for the deployment of troops.” The introduction of the latest technologies will allow Ukraine to enter the NATO air security network, Brailyan said.
