“Too many good Turtles games are released!” we have not said in very, very many years. The wound from the average party Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, from otherwise so reliable Platinum Games, has barely healed when we now still dare to hope that hope lives on Turtles-play.
The reason for our expectations is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge as “soon” come to Steam and “consoles”. In other words, there are some question marks to sort out.
An exclamation point is definitely the trailer where Mike Patton first takes the tone and sings the Turtles song to a retro animated intro. It hardly becomes less promising when it turns out that the action game is strongly inspired by the series’ arcade brawler action. Dotemu (who retro shocked last year with Streets of Rage 4) merges its nunchakus Tribute Games, which houses some heavy names from esteemed Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. At least it sounds like a promising recipe.
