Five suspected cases at the Kollegium Aloisianum

At the moment, only half of the 170 upper school students are in school anyway. In the 6th year everyone is at home for the time being. A precautionary measure that Director Bachler took after five so-called “nose drill tests” were positive. “All students were symptom-free, but in consultation with the education directorate, we immediately decided to send the young people from the affected class home and switch to distance learning,” said Bachler when asked by OÖN.

The school hopes that these are isolated cases. In one case, a PCR test has already shown that the student is negative, as Bachler explains. In addition, he had not received any further feedback until Thursday noon.

Basically, the all-day school on Freinberg has so far been spared corona cases. The current situation is anything but dramatic, but the precautionary measures were taken immediately. Bachler also attributes the fact that there have been a few cases to the space available in the school. “We have a lot of space in the school so that we can keep a lot of distance.”
