Police officer fatally injured after stabbing Groningen | Inland

The incident happened after 10 p.m. on Van Houtenlaan, in the south of the city. There, the officer and a colleague wanted to check two young men about curfew. After addressing the two, the officers were almost immediately attacked by one of the suspects. This one stabbed one officer several times with a sharp object. The other officer was slightly injured and has since left the hospital.

The perpetrators walked away. According to the police, these are two white boys. They were dressed dark, one wearing a rolled up cap. The other has curly hair and carried a backpack.
