Add contacts via QR code
The QR codes They have become a good alternative to easily access email addresses, URLs, obtain information instantly on your mobile screen by scanning these graphics with your mobile camera, etc. And WhatsApp has also adopted them to be able to do some things, such as access to your web client, or also to add new contacts without your phone.
With the coronavirus pandemic, it has also become a good way to pass your contact without contact, worth the redundancy. Since you will not have to write it down on any paper to pass it or anything like that, just show the graphic for the other form to scan.
A quick way to do this is follow these simple steps. First, from the mobile from which you want to pass the contact:
- Enter the WhatsApp app.
- Press on the settings menu (the three dots in the upper area).
- Go to App Settings.
- Then, you will see that next to your name you will see the symbol of the QR code that you must press.
- Now the other user can scan this code to add your contact.
From the side of which you want to add the contact:
- Open the WhatsApp app.
- Press on settings (three dots).
- Go to Application Settings.
- Press next to the QR code symbol next to the name.
- Then click on Scan.
- And you can point your camera at the QR generated on the other phone by centering the box.
- Once done, the option Add this person’s phone to your contacts appears. Press and you’re good to go.
