The Disciplinary Council (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has instituted disciplinary proceedings against the players of Sporting Palhinha, Feddal and Luís Neto and the sports director of the ‘lions’, Hugo Viana, today announced that federative body.
The FPF CD states that the disciplinary proceedings are due to the “non-observance of other duties at stake for the I Liga, following the convocation of the investigation process, processed in the LPFP Instructors’ Commission [Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional]”.
However, the CD does not specify the reasons that led to the opening of the disciplinary procedure to the three players and the manager, nor to which Sporting game in the I Liga is concerned.
“The case was sent today to the Instructors Committee of the Portuguese Professional Football League, with advertising being excluded until the end of the instruction,” the statement said.
