The Ministry of Health and the communities agree on the plan with the restrictions for the San José bridge and Holy Week. The central government and the regional executives have agreed on the perimeter closure of the 17 communities between the March 17 and 21 and between the March 26 and April 9 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The common document has been approved only with the vote against the Madrid’s community after the Xunta de Galicia endorsed the bolt to the autonomous communities to prevent the arrival of a fourth wave. “If there was no Easter, we would continue closed.” In this way the doubts have been solved by the Minister of Health when asked at the press conference on Wednesday, after the clinical committee on Tuesday, in which a readjustment of the list of municipalities with maximum restrictions and high level of measures was made.
Curfew and capacity at meetings
The decision to close the perimeter of the communities was announced by the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, at the press conference after Interterritorial Council of the National Health System, from whose meeting a ministerial order will come out that will be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and that only leaves the closures aside Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, where entry will be limited to the assumptions established in the state of alarm that runs until May.
Regarding the curfew, the Interterritorial Council has agreed advance the maximum schedule to 23.00, so that the autonomies will have the opportunity to establish it at 10:00 p.m. (as is currently set in Galicia) or at 11:00 p.m., while social meetings will be limited to a maximum of four people in closed spaces and six in open sites, while meetings will be limited to cohabitants in private spaces.
Darias has explained that it is a minimum document and has urged the autonomous communities not to lower the alert level for the time being and to take measures to prevent massive events from taking place, while warning Madrid that the agreement adopted with the rest of the autonomous communities is of mandatory, after the Minister of Health of this territory announced that they would not close Madrid.
