So far, more than eleven million people in Brazil have been shown to have been infected with the coronavirus – only in the USA and India are the numbers even higher. Over 266,000 patients have died related to the virus. Most recently, Brazil experienced its worst week in the pandemic to date, with around 10,000 corona deaths in seven days.
