In the Lviv region, the Drohobych city district court released from punishment a young Volkswagen Golf driver who ran over a 4-year-old girl three times in August last year.
As a result of a terrible collision, the child received numerous injuries and a concussion of the brain. The decision regarding the culprit is reported by Zaxid.net.
It is noted that during the trial, the driver admitted his guilt. For their part, the girl’s parents asked to close the criminal proceedings, saying that the guy fully compensated them for moral and material damage.
Given these circumstances, the judge decided to release the young man from criminal liability in connection with his reconciliation with the victim’s family. So, the proceedings were closed, the relatives of the injured child did not file an appeal against the last court ruling.
Recall that the incident took place on the afternoon of August 6, 2020 in Drohobych… The girl was riding a scooter in the parking lot of the store. At this time, a 19-year-old Volkswagen Golf driver, reversing, ran into her. First, he hooked the child with the rear wheel, then ran over with the front one. When the girl was already lying on the ground, the driver, without stopping, ran over her again with the left front wheel.
