After five weeks on Steam Early Access, the Swedish Viking adventure Valheim has managed to sell over 5.7 million copies. An incredible achievement for any game but even more so for Iron Gate Studios whose development team consists of five people.
Valheim is a survival game in a Viking environment where 1-10 players come together to survive in an atmospheric but dangerous world.
According to the developers, Valheim has now been played for over 15,000 years and has resulted in over 35 million hours watched on Twitch. The game has also managed to reach over 500,000 simultaneous players on Steam, which only Cyberpunk 2077, Dota 2, CS: GO and PUBG have achieved before.
