Kia has unveiled the first official images of the EV6, the manufacturer’s first newly developed battery electric car built on the company’s new specialized platform E-GMP.
Only a few days have passed since Hyundai introduced the Ioniq 5, which is Hyundai-Kia’s first EV from the e-GMP platform. Kia will soon present its first EV from this platform, but in the meantime tempted with the first pictures.
The EV6 is both the epitome of our brand’s ‘Inspiring Movement’ and our new design philosophy. It is designed to inspire every trip, offering an instinctive and natural experience that enhances the daily lives of our customers, as well as ownership and use that is simple, intuitive and integrated. Our goal is to create an experience of physical interaction with the brand and to create bold, original and ingeniously designed electric vehicles.

The electric car is part of the company transformation, the newly created EVs will be named according to a new strategy. The new approach brings simplicity and consistency to Kia’s electric car nomenclature in all world markets. All new Kia BEV names will start with the prefix “EV”, which will make it easy for consumers to understand which Kia products are fully electric. This is followed by a number indicating the location of the car in the model range.
