Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6951 analyzes were carried out and 831 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 831 new cases, 463 are from Montevideo, 62 from Rivera, 51 from Canelones, 43 from Salto, 32 from Cerro Largo, 29 from Maldonado, 26 from Tacuarembó, 25 from Artigas, 25 from Florida, 16 from San José, 12 from Treinta y Tres, 11 from Durazno, 9 from Paysandú, 6 from Colonia, 5 from Río Negro, 5 from Soriano, 4 from Flores, 4 from Rocha and 3 from Lavalleja. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,079,088 have been processed and 65,527 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 56,399 have already been recovered.
Today 8 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Durazno, 75 years old, 2 patients from Canelones, 74 and 75 years old, and 5 patients from Montevideo, 54, 61, 65, 91 and 97 years old. So far there are 666 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 8462 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 88 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 3,546 correspond to health personnel. 3174 of them have already recovered, 365 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 64,700. Today 831 new cases and a total of 65,527 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 4 cases were eliminated.
