In the context of increasing the number of people diagnosed with the SARS CoV-2 virus that requires hospitalization, the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital supplemented, with 37, the number of beds for positive patients.
“At the end of last week, we had between 190 and 200 patients diagnosed with the SARS CoV-2 virus and hospitalized in the COVID-19 wards of the hospital. If the number of patients increases, to ensure the need for beds, we decided to transform the Clinical Department of Internal Medicine II into a section COVID-19. In this sense, I requested the approval of the Public Health Directorate of Arad County and I received a favorable opinion, from an epidemiological point of view, for the 37 beds within the department. The medical activity is organized so that we can treat both the patients infected with the SARS CoV-2 virus and the patients who come to the hospital with other health problems, being arranged separate circuits ”, explained ec. Florina Ionescu, manager of SCJU Arad.
In total, at the level of the Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital we have 286 beds for patients infected with SARS CoV-2 virus on COVID-19 departments but also in areas specially arranged on the departments of different medical specialties (Obstetrics-Gynecology, Psychiatry, Neurology… ), and 27 beds in intensive care units.
