The nubia brand pulled out last week with a really interesting smartphone. The Red Magic 6 Pro model is an uncompromising gaming machine that has no weaknesses at first glance. It is also the first model with a 165Hz screen.
The display is the most interesting part of the novelty. It offers a 6.8-inch diagonal and Full HD + resolution. The AMOLED screen offers a 165Hz refresh rate, which, according to the manufacturer, is really recognizable in games – even compared to 120Hz models. All titles are therefore running incredibly smoothly, especially in demanding FPS events.
The heart of the phone is the Snapdragon 888 processor, which comes directly from last year’s flagship with the number 865. A total of eight is therefore divided into three parts in a 1 + 3 + 4 assembly. Prim plays the most powerful Cortex-X1 core, which is complemented by three powerful Cortex-A78 cores. The remaining four Cortex-A55 cores are then economical. The powerful chips of the newly discovered novelty offer double the cache memory, and thanks to that we should enjoy up to 25% higher performance.
In the case of the graphics core, the increase in performance is even more pronounced, the manufacturer promises up to 35%. This is thanks to the new Adreno 660 graphics unit. The Red Magic 6 Pro also received 18 GB of RAM in the highest variant – specifically 12 GB of RAM and 6 GB of virtual memory. In short, in AnTuT, this configuration gained a record 782 thousand points.
To be able to cool such performance, the phone is equipped with a special ICE 6.0 system, which contains a very powerful fan. It can spin up to 20,000 revolutions per minute, using the exhalation on the back. The chip can cool up to 16 ° C at maximum gaming. The back of the phone is made of aluminum, so it works as a cooler.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the top model nubia Red Magic 6 Pro, there will also be a version without the word Pro in the name. It has a slower fan, less RAM, a glass back and slower charging. The Red Magic 6 has a 5050 mAh battery supporting 65W chargers, but the Pro version supports 120W chargers. However, the battery capacity is only 4500 mAh.
When and at what price the news will be sold on the domestic market, but it is not yet clear.
