Thomas Markle was te gast in Good Morning Britain and there responded, among other things, to Meghan’s statement that she feels betrayed by her father. Thomas can be brief about it: “We all make mistakes, but I’ve never played pool naked or dressed up as Hitler – like Harry did.”
Thomas refers to the blunders the duke made in the past. In 2005, at the age of 21, he went to a party dressed as a Nazi soldier – complete with swastika band around his arm. In 2012, photos leaked of Harry playing pool naked.

In addition, Thomas addressed the fact that a member of the royal would have been concerned about the skin color of the then unborn Archie. “I have a lot of respect for the royals and I don’t think the British royal family is racist at all,” said Thomas. “I think Los Angeles is racist, California is racist, but the British aren’t.”
“And people asking what the baby’s skin color is … I hope and think that’s just a stupid question,” he continues. “It could be that someone just asked a stupid question.” According to Thomas, that should be investigated.

In the interview, Meghan Markle spoke briefly about her father, but a day later channel CBS also released a short clip in which she elaborated on the bond with her own family. In it she explained how she wanted to protect her father and mother – in vain – against the media circus.
Thomas Markle became embroiled in a paparazzi scandal in 2019. He was photographed in an internet cafe reading news about Harry and Meghan. It later turned out that this photo shoot had been staged and the photos would have sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Meghan now says in the interview that she feels betrayed by her father. She asked him about the photos, but he lied and said it was not true. Samantha Markle, Meghan’s half-sister, admitted in her book that it was her idea.
