She had already hung her paintings there, in January, for a week. Stéphanie Egret received many visitors and sold two paintings. She therefore decided to retry the experience until March 14. “It’s rather abstract, everyone sees what they want”, she says of her paintings which are hung on the walls. She lets herself be carried “by the colors and the inspiration of the moment”.

From pastry to painting
The artist is no stranger to Vesoul since she lived there for four years. She then gave pastry lessons for children. “In 2019, when I had never touched a brush in my life, I started painting. I wanted a painting that was not for sale. So I thought I was going to try and do it myself! », She says. Equipped with her kitchen tools, knife and pastry horn, she began to paint. “At the beginning, we take what we have on hand,” she smiles.
Abstract paintings were then born which, however, all tell a story, a moment, a feeling… It is again by chance that Stéphanie Egret had her first exhibition in Caen in 2020. “One day, I entered the Halle aux grains where an exhibition was held. One gate was empty. I asked to take the place of this absent painter and I stayed for four months, ”she testifies.

His 86th painting
The one who now resides in the Côte d’Or continues to paint. In shades of red or blue. “I’m on my 86th painting,” she calculates. “I’m not doing this for myself, I want to share what I’ve learned,” she adds. She hopes that the public will be numerous to want to discover the 21 paintings that she has chosen to hang on the walls of the ephemeral store and that she will be able to “reach new people who do not know her”. You just have to push the door of “26” to enter the world of “Stf”.
