On Sunday lunchtime, a patrol from the Bayreuth traffic police checked a vehicle combination at the Fränkische Schweiz West motorway service area. The 28-year-old driver from Berlin was traveling south on the A 9 with his Mercedes SUV and a large trailer. He was unable to show the officers a driver’s license, ID or vehicle documents. The young man also gave his wrong name and address. Investigations at the office revealed the correct personal details of the man. This was because he no longer had a driver’s license and the trailer no longer had any insurance coverage. He was reported because of driving without a license, the violation of the compulsory insurance law and an administrative offense because of the wrong name. The trailer was stamped on site. The 28-year-old Berliner was forbidden to continue his journey. pol
