SunSport can exclusively reveal that Edinson Cavani and Eric Bailly demand responses from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their future at Manchester United is uncertain.
Uruguayan forward Cavani, 34, is eager to stay at Old Trafford next season, but has received no guarantees from the Red Devils hierarchy. While the center-back is frustrated, Bailly wants boss Solskjaer’s “honesty” about his first-team status.
United, second in the Premier League after Sunday’s 2-0 derby win over leaders City, are looking to sign a new striker and defender this summer.
Cavani, who plans to return to South America with Boca Juniors in Argentina, wants to know how a new leader would impact his role at the Theater of Dreams.
The forward joined United in October as a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain with a contract until the end of the season. His £ 9 million a year contract has a one-year option with both parties able to activate the extension.
